The most beautiful city park in the Netherlands
The Droom en Daad foundation, together with the City of Rotterdam, has the ambition to make the Park the most beautiful city park in the Netherlands.
The Park was built in the second half of the 19th century in the style of the English countryside, according to a design by the father- son duo Zocher. The original design by Zocher will be restored to its full splendor. In collaboration with the municipality of Rotterdam and relevant stakeholders the first phase of this restoration will focus on the theme “clean, complete and safe”. We aim to realize a park which will always be “open and accessible to everyone”.
