Makersloket
A financial boost for 1192 art projects
The measures regarding COVID-19 continued in 2021. Especially in times like these there is a need for everything that artists have to offer: work that is ambitious and controversial, investigative and exciting or recognisable and reassuring.
In March 2021, the Droom en Daad Foundation launched the Makersloket. The Makersloket enabled Rotterdam-based artists to continue to actively practice their profession during the pandemic. Individual artists and small-scale artists collectives could submit an application for a contribution during two application rounds in April and May 2021. A total of 1192 art projects were supported. These projects will be presented to residents and visitors of Rotterdam in 2021 and 2022.
