Rolled up newspaper
In 1981, Kunst & Vaarwerk painted one of the pillars on Zuidplein as the front page of the newspaper 'Het Vrije Volk', all texts and images of which refer to the port.
More than 40 years after the column was painted, the painting has been severely damaged and the column is being fully restored.
The restoration of the Rolled up newspaper is part of the renovation of the entire area around Zuidplein metro station.
