In the autumn of 2022, a number of cultural institutions in Rotterdam will be devoting extensive attention to the composer and writer Willem Pijper (1894-1947). Pijper is considered one of the founders of modernism in Rotterdam. With performances, exhibitions, talks, publications and archive material, Willem Pijper will be returned to the city to which he made such an important contribution and which had almost forgotten about him.
